The Dashboard

The Dashboard is where you check the overall health of your test suite at a glance.
  • Status Distribution: a pie chart of pass, fail, blocked, and pending tests.
  • Pass Rate Trend: an area chart tracking your pass rate across recent runs.
  • Per-folder breakdown: a bar chart showing pass/fail/blocked/pending counts by test folder, so you can spot where failures are concentrated.
  • Run activity: a heatmap of Patrol activity over the last several weeks.
Each chart has its own empty-state message until there’s enough data. For example, the trend chart needs at least two runs before it can draw a line. Pending tests and runs that haven’t been measured yet are shown as pending rather than as a misleading zero percent.

Release Readiness

The Dashboard’s Release Readiness card shows a GO / NO-GO verdict computed from your most recent full Patrol run, based on P0 (Critical) and P1 (High) test results. Alongside the verdict it shows:
  • Whether a NO-GO blocks release or is a warning only, based on your Notifications setting.
  • P0 and P1 pass counts, and the run’s environment, branch, and commit.
  • A Partial run tag if the run was scoped to a suite or grep filter rather than the full suite.
  • For a NO-GO result, a list of the specific blocking tests, with priority, title, status, file, and error.
If no run has completed yet, the card explains that running the full suite will populate a verdict here. A run recorded before this feature shows a note that it finished before Watchtower recorded a verdict.

The QA Results Report

Open Reports and select a run to review its GO / NO-GO verdict and reason, followed by passed, failed, blocked, and pending totals. Findings surfaces failures and blocked tests with errors, recent pass history, priority, ownership, and linked bugs. Coverage by area and run facts follow the findings. Use search and filters for test type, status, and linked bugs. Click Export PDF for a printable copy using a print palette. Pending tests remain distinct from executed tests.
When you select an older run, its verdict and run facts frame the report, while the test statuses reflect the latest sync. Check the notice beside the run selector before sharing it.

Email a report

Click Email report to compose a message, attach a run, preview it, and send. History shows sent messages and delivery status. Email delivery must be configured for your instance; recipients may need to check their spam folder.
Guest Share link is not available in this version. Use PDF export or email to share results with someone outside the dashboard.

Comparing runs

Open Compare to see exactly what changed between any two Patrol runs. Pick a baseline (“before”) and a comparison (“after”) run, and Watchtower shows:
  • A plain-language summary (for example, “Pass rate improved by 4pp” or “2 new failures”).
  • Delta tiles for Pass, Fail, Skipped, and Pass Rate.
You’ll need at least two recorded runs to use Compare.

Exporting data

Use Project Settings → Export from the sidebar to download your data as CSV (one file per data type) or as a single PowerPoint deck. You can export Tests, Filed Bugs, Graphs Data, Patrol History, and Run Status, scoped to your current folder selection or across every folder, when viewing All folders, the Export button switches to All folders (N) and includes every folder in the export. PowerPoint exports now include every test row across as many slides as needed, rather than being capped at a fixed number of rows per export.
